Side Jobs and Descriptions

Side Jobs are jobs that can earn you money. They are not official jobs so you do not earn a standard wage. Side jobs can be completed along with having a real job.

Farming:
To start a farm you must go to Escalera and request a meeting with the current presidente or his assistant if he is away. You will have to purchase a plot of land, the price will be determined by el presidente. The way to make money is to buy seeds from a saloon/ general store. Once you have purchased seeds you have to plant them and you will receive 10p every time it rains. After you buy seeds once you don't have to buy them again. If el presedente wishes, he can tax you for a precentage of every harvest to be paid directly to him. It would not be a good idea to not pay your taxes. If somebody throws fire bottles at your farm, you must wait 3 days then buy more seeds. To "plant" your seeds, just go over your land plot several times with a wagon.

marijuana farming
marijuana farming works the same ar regular farming except you must buy special seeds, and when it rains you dont automatically get paid. in order to get paid you have to put it in a wagon and bring it to the ferryman. then you must negotiate a price and sell it to him so he can smuggle it into america. *note that nobody in the game can mike it and it has no special effects. its merely a commodity.

Hunting:
To make money hunting you simply have to go to a hunting challenge location and complete it. You will receive 15p every time you complete one. If you die while hunting your character is killed off.

Bounty Hunting:
To do this you pretty much just have to look for bounties on the character bounties thread. If you build up a reputation then people may approach you personally with contracts.

Night Watch:
It's a dangerous and tense world out there. With government and rebel factions clashing every chance they get, it would be wise to be on the patrol when the guard s down in your stronghold or town. Every night watch patrol grants you 5p. You may complete night watches three times per session.

gun trafficing
to sell guns you must first talk to the ferryman about smuggleing in a shipment from america. he will set the price of he smuggleing based on what weapons you need and how many. note that he will only sell in bulk, meaning 5 of the same gun or more. once you have the guns will need a wagon to transfer them to your home or residence. once you have the guns you may sell them to whomever you want and you may set the prices.

bodygaurd
to take on a bodygaurd job simply ask for whoever might need a bodygaurd service, if they need protection they will accept.some of the people that may need protection are the ferryman, the rebelde faction, and the mexican army faction. the price should be negotiated between the two of you based on the conditions of the job.

bartending
in this roleplay, nobody can own saloons, they are "owned" by NPCs that cannot be played by anyone. you can, however "work" for that NPC by simply picking out a bar that has no bartender and standing there and serving drinks. all the money from the drinks goes to the "owner" not to you. you are paid 1p per in-game hour (5 minutes) that you stand at the bar and serve drinks. you also get any tips that a character chooses to give you.
